Loft In Space, the site of this year’s (covered) and next year’s POW WOW, was recently converted into a giant coloring book by gallery director Jasper Wong. The very busy and versatile designer, artist, illustrator, and curator is also one of the co-owners of Above Second Gallery in Hong Kong, site of an Arrested Motion group show at the end of next month.
For this project, entitled Little Shop of Wonder, the 60 feet of wall space took two days of hard work for Jasper to cover it with doodles of his signature Asian-inspired blend of pop culture. Then, children and adults from the local art-loving community in Oahu were invited in to color-in his work resulting in a fun day for all.
