Releases: Jasper Wong – “POW! WOW! x HYPERFLY” Collaboration

Tomorrow at 10am, HYPERFLY will be releasing a collaboration with POW! WOW! founder Jasper Wong on their website. The collaboration between the Hawaii-based artist and the brand from the world of Jiu-Jitsu will feature a Gi, pants, rash guard and bag with the design inspired Wong’s studies in Kung Fu, as well as the saying, “catch a tiger by the tail.” Take a look at more photos below… Discuss Jasper Wong here.

Recap: POW! WOW! Korea 2017

At the end of September, the people behind POW! WOW! Hawaii held their event celebrating culture, music and art in a new country – South Korea. Designed on Surface is a project Jasper Wong worked on recently with Microsoft, spanning 17 cities in 12 countries. If you attended any of the previous Supersonic Invitational shows, you know you’re in for a treat. Constantly expanding their brand of street art inspired fun based in Hawaii, POW! WOW!’s latest adventure takes them to a satellite event at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival in Austin, Texas. Recap: POW! WOW! Taiwan

Last week, the first POW! WOW! Taiwan wrapped up successfully as invited artists finished public works throughout the capital city of Taipei. Last week, Washington DC added another mural to their public space through the efforts of Jasper Wong and Kelly Towles. Painted on the side of an abandoned CIA building for the Art Yards event, the six-story high piece features a surreal image of a dinosaur and bandit playing cat’s cradle, a child’s string-based game.
