Recently, Thinkspace Gallery hosted a solo exhibition by artist Esao Andrews (interviewed) entitled Nowhere. The night featured a great collection of artwork that touches upon various themes which fuse a sense of reality with an aura of the fantastical. Pastel colors contrast nicely with dark colors which give the artwork a sense of brooding and melancholy. The artist was present for the exhibit and briefly discussed his affinity for at times referencing real life events and places and then utilizing those images as the means to expand into paintings which step out of the norm.
