Starting tomorrow, June 30th, the London Pleasure Gardens will open their doors to the public in the heart of Olympic East London. The 20 acre destination will be one of the art, music, and cultural hubs for the hundreds of thousands of people who will be in town for the 30th Olympiad with major venues for live concerts, sculpture gardens, nature reserve, video projects and more. Of interest to AM readers in particular are the artists slated for public art projects at the LPG including Risk, Ron English, TrustoCorp, and Shepard Fairey. The OBEY crew and Shep were only just in Paris for a two piece mural and were recently spotted working on a wall in North London. They now complete their trip with the tallest piece Fairey has ever put up (seen above). Check our more preview images below…
