Newly formed art collective devNgosha recently stopped by the offices of theAudience and painted a new mural entitled Connected. Situated in the same building that houses work from JR (covered) and Kozyndan (covered), this new multi-wall project combines the talents of Devin Liston and Gosha Levochkin. In the past, Devin’s work has always had a strong emphasis on portrait work and during his time as part of Cyrcle., he helped formed a style that gave that group a multi-faceted approach to their art. On the other hand, Gosha’s work has touched upon the themes of the urban landscape and how it affects sorrounding people in form of watercolors. With this mural now, the duo have combined those different strengths and experiences and thus, have created an art piece that is both a reflection of their previous work as well as a new style emerging from this collaboration.
They recently made their first appearance during a group show at C.A.V.E. Gallery which also showed the works of other artists such as Dan Quintana and Grady Gordon and Van Saro. Plus, they are also preparing for their first solo show over at Soze Gallery on March 1st, titled Pressure, which will focus on the pressures of our society today and how it is manifests through people’s and expressions. So stay tuned for that exhibition but in the meantime, check out photos from devNgosha’s new mural…
