London’s Moniker Art Fair is opening its fourth year show at the The Old Truman Brewery, in the heart of London’s cultural and creative center – East London. During weekend of October 17th-20th, art lovers will have a chance to see the latest works of artists often overlooked in other British mainstream art fairs. The fair’s policy on finding and showcasing emerging and established talents from a contemporary art movement this year got pushed even further through a venue-sharing collaboration with London’s leading artist-led fair – The Other Art Fair. With two art fairs under one roof, this event is surely one of the highlights in London’s art calendar along with Frieze Art Fair that is happening on the same weekend.
This year’s edition of Moniker fair will include 15+ international galleries and print studios that will be showing artworks from the artist they are representing, as well as some urban art classics. Most of the galleries will be showing pieces and installations that were made especially for the event. Also, there will be exclusive print releases planed in collaboration with Jealous Print Studio, with last color of 7 prints will be pulled direct at the fair and signed by the artists. From what we have seen, visitors will have a chance to see works from wide range of international artists such as D*face, Haroshi, Pure Evil, My Dog Sighs, Amanda Marie, Greg Lamarche, The London Police, Beejoir, Zeus, David Shillinglaw, to name a few.
In our preview you can see some of the works that were created especially for the fair by Amanda Marie (seen above), Greg Lamarche, Deedee Cheriel, Beejoir, Vinz, Jo Peel and Pipsqueek was here!!!.
