If you’re in or around Edinburgh, get ready for a treat as Gamma Proforma’s new gallery space Gamma Transport Division opens this Friday with their inaugural exhibition featuring pioneering British graffiti artist SheOne. [S1] features a series of brand new works from the Transcend / Wizard Kings writer, also known under his real name of James Choules.
SheOne’s work sees him abstract traditional graffiti letterforms into a unique visual codified language synonymous throughout his outdoor and gallery work, and from the looks of the pictures seen here from the installation in progress, he is using an assembled collage motif which gives a new dynamic aspect to his work. In addition to the framed collage works, expect some painted bike frames as part of the installation. No doubt there will be some fresh paint on the walls too.
The exhibition opens Friday October 11 and runs until December 11.
