At the end of last month, photographer Tim Barber returned to Japan for a third solo show (see 2011) at Yuka Tsuruno Gallery. Relations see the New York-based artist present 23 previously unreleased works, a series of portraits, landscapes, and urban studies – all taken with a style he has become known for since his stint as the photo editor at Vice Magazine. In addition, Barber has released his latest monograph, edited and designed himself, in conjunction with the show.
