Opening on October 10th at the Japanese American National Museum is Giant Robot Biennale 4, a group exhibition featuring works from artists curated by Eric Nakamura (interviewed), the man behind the Giant Robot brand. The fourth iteration (see 2009, 2012) of the show looks to be the most ambitious yet featuring artists like James Jean, Jim Lee, Kim Jung Gi, Katsuya Terada, Edwin Ushiro, and Yumi Sakagawa, among others.
To give you a taste of what to expect, take a look at what Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed) has prepared for his part in the exhibition. When we visited the studio of Yamamoto back in August, we saw the beginnings of the new installation inspired with his recent fascination with rendering sunsets and polka dots. It looks like it come together nicely so take a look at a video below and some more detailed images.
