After successfully releasing his Aérotik Pink Malpa and Aérotik Black Malpa resin sculptures back in February (featured), Bom.K has another sculptural edition to offer. Fight For Love consists of a modified brass knuckle and its base, both casted in  zamak and bronze with a hand finished process that gives them a raw, wornout feel.

Knuckles have been popularly used as a defense tool for centuries, and are global symbol of direct fight and raw power used by many groups and organizations that promote aggressive behavior. They are originally designed to as an effective strike force that protects the bones of the hand that grasps them, but Bom.K did added a twist to this iconic item by replacing the slots for fingers with the word LOVE. By doing this, the DMV crew member made it impossible to wear and use this item as a weapon effectively created a different, paradoxical appeal, and meaning to the object.

Limited to 60 units, the sculpture is measures 13.5 x 9 x 4 cm (5.3 x 3.5 x 1.6 inches) and comes signed and numbered by the artist along with accompanying certificate of authenticity. The entire edition was entirely made at Exametal, one of Barcelona’s most ancient foundries where Dalí and Miró works were fabricated and it will be available on December 10th at 6pm CET (12pm EST) via Bom-k.fr.
