Right on the heels of his showing just at the end of last year at Perrotin Seoul, Josh Sperling opened a new exhibition tonight at the gallery’s New York location. Big Time once again continues his exploration of geometric forms and can can be considered somewhat of a homecoming for the American artist as he lives and works in Ithaca. Created on shaped canvases, Sperlings expressive squiggles, angular shapes, and sinuous curves combine to form clusters of works that are oftentimes informed by the architecture in which it is show.
