Following up on the reveal (covered) of the incorporation of his work in Dior’s Pre-Fall 2019 Collection, Hajime Sorayama has now helped design a traveling pop-up store for North America. Constructed from metal, the structure draws from the futuristic theme of the campaign and matches of course the Japanese artist’s signature sexy robot, of which a 5 meter tall version will stand guard outside. The pop-up pod is currently at Washington D.C.’s CityCenterDC development until May 6, and will travel to Jewel Court in South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, California from May 14 to May 28. A smaller rendition of the sculpture and pod will open in Toronto’s Yorkdale Shopping Centre on the main floor from now until May 31.
