On Tuesday, Galerie Perrotin held the grand opening for its Hong Kong gallery location with a showing from the New York-based KAWS (a.k.a. Brian Donnelly) and it was a quite an event. Yesterday, we brought you an intimate look at each of the pieces in the exhibition entitled Nature of Need. Today, in the second part of the coverage, we give you an idea of impressive scale of the works as the audience hovered from piece to piece taking in all the colorful compositions created by the artist. With the space packed from the get go, it was pretty obvious the people of Hong Kong didn’t get enough of KAWS since his last visit to the city. From art world notables to friends and fans traveling international waters just to catch this memorable night, it’s safe to say that the sold out show and the night of festivities which EP & KAWS put together was a proper way to start AM’s Art HK week.
