Last month, AM stopped by the Hong Kong edition of the Daydreaming with… exhibition. Designed to marry music and visual art, this experience gathered some high profile names in the genres of music, art, film, photography, fashion and design. Held in the ARTISTREE show center, the event took full advantage of the spacious layout to showcase the works of 30 artists such as Futura, Cyrcle. (see video of their experience here), Jonas Akerlund, Wing Shya, Li Wei, Doug Foster, Cang Xin Shynola, Emma Richardson, Jonas Åkerlund, Sophie Muller, Factory 15 Toby Dye, Azzi Galsser, U.N.K.L.E. and Simon Birch.
One of the highlights of the exhibition was from Futura as he brought some statement pieces. We caught some of his earliest canvased works featuring his legendary Pointmen and in addition, we were blown away by a the collaborative creation by U.N.K.L.E. and John Nolan in which a robotic-based version of the Pointman moved interactively to the albums that played.
