Mia was in attendance Tuesday night for “Illuminate,” (previewed/interviewed) her 3-Person show at Corey Helford. As nice as the paintings look online, Mia’s work definitely needs to be seen in person as pictures do not do the work justice. Both Nate Frizzell and Scott Belcastro had show openings this past Saturday at Cerasoli:LeBasse.Â AM dropped in on the opening and we hope you get a better feel of the work from the photos after the jump.Â If you missed the opening, we would recommend dropping by Cerasoli:LeBasse to see this for yourself.Â The shows run until November 29th.

Matt Dangler just sent us the the promo image he scanned in for his “Out From the Whirlwind” show at M Modern. The opening reception is scheduled for December 12th. While this won’t be for quite some time, we expect a great show from this young artist. The piece shown above is an 8″ x 10″ titled “Mysterium Tremendum”. The “Art For Hope” benefit (previously mentioned) took place at Merry Karnowsky Gallery last night. This was a special “one night only” group show to raise funds for the Obama campaign. Although this event was not planned very far in advance, everything came together nicely.
