A review of recent public works for our Streets World Roundup sees this new mural (seen above) from Shok-1 as one of the standouts. Kehinde Wiley recently teamed up with Grey Goose to launch their new Le Melon flavor by painting a series of works called Modern Kings of Culture. Streets: ROA (Belgium)

Prolific world traveler ROA hardly has time to be in his home country, but it looks like he recently was in Belgium for the North West Walls project. We already touched on the event here for another artist, but now we have some photos to share from the anatomically obsessed street artist as he painted stacked containers at one of the country’s biggest music festivals. Take a look at an interview he gave here and check out some of the other artists’ efforts here. Photos via BA Street […]

Art Focus: Rafael Gómezbarros – “Casa Tomada”

If you have an insect phobia, you probably did not click through to read this article. For those who made it here, the swarms of ant sculptures you see are from Rafael Gómezbarros and his Casa Tomada project, traveling installations that have shown all over the world since 2007. The urban interventions are meant to represent displacement of peasants in his native Columbia due to war and violence, themes that resonate in one form or another in any country his work is displayed in. Crafted from tree […]
