Upcoming: Ben Tolman @ Jonathan LeVine Projects

Coming up on June 23rd, Ben Tolman will be opening a new show of his incredibly detailed drawings at Jonathan LeVine Projects in New Jersey. The American artist’s artistic vision takes Escher-like influences and combines with them a urban sensibility as well as surreal elements, leading to frenetic compositions that overwhelm the eye in a way that’s uniquely his own. Making an appearance every now and then in Tolman’s imagery are these grid-like structures (like these teaser images from the upcoming exhibition pictured above and below) of […]

Streets: Augustine Kofie x AiseBorn @ Rendon Hotel (Los Angeles)

Recently, Augustine Kofie (featured) teamed up with AiseBorn to paint an outstanding new mural at the former Rendon Hotel in Los Angeles. The harmonious joint effort on the 7th Street facade between the two locally-based artists was aided by the common elements that can be seen in their work like geometrical patterns, architectural influences, and a background in graffiti. Israel further explains […]

Streets: Telmo Miel x James Bullough (Berlin)

Spending a week together in Berlin, Telmo Miel and James Bullough worked on a stunning new piece (located Bernburger Straße 35) that blends the work of the street artists together perfectly. Painting the large wall for the Berlin Mural Fest with the “Unity” concept proposed by Urban Nation in mind, the Dutch duo mixed their patchy & segmented imagery with the locally-based Bullough’s glitchy portraiture in a way the matches their styles up amazingly well. Take a look are more photos below… Discuss Telmo Miel here. Discuss James Bullough here.
