You may remember earlier this year during the NuArt Festival, Ernest Zacharevic painted a mural (seen below) in Stavenger referencing the Norwegian cross-stitch with the twist being the burning house. For this holiday season, he has teamed up with his partner-in-crime, Sheena Liam, to create a series entitled Norwegian Bubble of 12 individual frames that they are making available thru email – [email protected] Each one was used to create an animation that can be viewed here as well. For the Autumn/Winter 2015 season, Max Mara has collaborated with artist Maya Hayuk on three different styles of sunglasses featuring a pattern she has dubbed Optiprism. The multicolored rainbow graphics utilized for this project mirror the works from the New York-based artist that fit well both in the gallery as well as on the streets. On December 2nd, The Skateroom is launching their new collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Along with a special event (RSVP required) and pop-op installation that night at the Delano Hotel in South Beach as part of Basel Week Miami, the series of new skatedecks featuring Warhol’s iconic imagery will be made available online. In association with the new solo from Mark Jenkins (interviewed) that just opened at the Fabien Castanier Gallery in Los Angeles (covered), the artist has released some limited editions through Freeway Editions.
