Previews: Yoskay Yamamoto x Sunny Side Up Studio – “Pothead” @ GR2 Gallery

This Sunday, July 19th, from 2 – 5 PM, Sunny Side Up Studio will be holding a pre-release event at GR2 Gallery for their Pothead line of products designed by co-founder Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed). Featuring the signature facial features seen in sculptural pieces from the Los Angeles-based artist, the hand-made plant holder comes in two colors – white and yellow – and are priced at $80 each. Takashi Murakami x Vans Vault Showcase @ Hotel Du Grand Veneur

Over the weekend Hotel Du Grand Veneur in Paris hosted a collaborative showcase between Takashi Murakami and Vans. Coinciding with this season’s Paris Fashion Week, the launch event featured shoes (adult and child), skate decks, surf boards, tees, and related artwork. as well as a roundtable conversation with the esteemed Japanese artist. Releases: Jeremy Geddes – “Ascent” Hoodie

Daylight Curfew has just announced the release of their collaboration with Jeremy Geddes (interviewed) for their DLC Black Label line. Entitled Ascent, the same name as one of the Australian painter’s iconic images (also released as a print), the new hoodie will be limited to 100 pieces and feature their own embroidered edition numbers. Releases: Shok-1 – “The Consumer” Shirt

Those who follows Shok-1 and his distinctive work on the streets are no doubt familiar with his x-ray spray technique. One of the London-based artist’s most well received murals comes from last year when he merged his aesthetic with pop culture and painted a Pac-Man as it would look if it had bones. Releases: Takashi Murakami x Vans Collaboration

On June 27th, Takashi Murakami will be releasing a collaboration he has been working on with Vans. Utilizing his iconic imagery, the set will include six pairs of Vans Classic Slip-Ons, four skate decks, three tees, and three pairs of slip-ons for your little art collectors out there. Releases: Tomoo Gokita x Case Studyo – “A Bathing Beauty” Sculpture

Taking a painting from his show at Mary Boone Gallery last year (covered), Tomoo Gokita has brought the faceless beauty he created to life with the help of Case Studyo. Entitled A Bathing Beauty like the painting, the new bronze sculpture will be released tomorrow through their website in two colorways – white & black. Releases: Luke Chueh x Common Artist Project Apparel

Continuing to spread his iconic sad bear imagery, Luke Chueh (interviewed) recently collaborated with Common Artist Project on a collection of clothing. Featuring a limited edition run of Pullovers, Rib Muscle Tanks, Short Sleeve Tees entitled “Bolt,” the line of clothing with the pink lightning bolt and his most famous character is a homage to Ziggy Stardust. Upcoming: KAWS – “CLEAN SLATE” @ Shanghai Time Square
