In a year when his gigantic thumb-up piece Really Good will be revealed on top of the Fourth Plinth in London’s Trafalgar Square, David Shrigley is actively showing in galleries as well. Releases: Kaws x Uniqlo Collection

Recently, Nigo announced that KAWS will be designing Uniqlo’s UT line for spring. The new collection, scheduled to be on sale April 22nd, will consist of 12 T-shirts with the Brooklyn-based artist’s imagery. By the first look, they are everything KAWS fans would hope for. The Companions, X’s, gloves, eyes and Chums, all rendered with the American artist’s recognizable line work, have found their way on to the backs and fronts of the tees. On April 28th, Zieher, Smith, & Horton will be putting on display Michael Dotson’s remix of iconic Disney imagery in a solo show. The New York-based artist started down this path when he stumbled upon Disney Screencaps, a website featuring almost every frame of every Disney movie ever made. Altering, twisting, and distorting the stills with his artistic vision, Dotson helps them reach their full potential by accenting different elements and incorporating electric colors and patterns. On April 8th, Subliminal Projects will be opening a new group exhibition entitled Out Of Line featuring the work of Aaron Li-Hill, Guno Park (seen above), Mark Powell, and Von. The show participants were chosen for using primarily graphite, pen, and ink as their medium of choice, but also explores how they have expanded on traditional concepts of drawing.
