Basel Week Miami ’15 / Openings: Tomoo Gokita – “Damage Control” @ Bill Brady Gallery

Fresh out of the gates for Basel Week Miami is a showing from Tomoo Gokita with acrylic and gouache on canvas paintings at Bill Brady Gallery’s new permanent space in the Little River District. The new body of work, titled Damage Control, took portraiture painting to another level with works based on vintage portraits of Hollywood divas, movie stills, found photos and postcards. Basel Week Miami ’15 / Releases: Andy Warhol // The Skateroom Decks

On December 2nd, The Skateroom is launching their new collaboration with the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts. Along with a special event (RSVP required) and pop-op installation that night at the Delano Hotel in South Beach as part of Basel Week Miami, the series of new skatedecks featuring Warhol’s iconic imagery will be made available online. Through the sales, the company hopes to support NGO Skateistan and their amazing work with children across Afghanistan, Cambodia and South Africa. Discuss Basel Week Miami here.
