Opening on May 26 (and running until Sept 16) at me Collectors Room Berlin is an exhibition featuring the collection of Selim Varol, who is known for being a part of the Toy Giants project, Toykio Cafe and Gallery, and Gallery Springmann.Varol. Teaser: Mia Araujo – “Into The Woods” @ Corey Helford

In her first major showing since a two-person exhibition at Roq La Rue at the end of 2011, Mia Araujo (interviewed) will be presenting a new body of work at Corey Helford in Los Angeles with the opening scheduled for May 12th. Into The Woods will be her first solo and feature the surreal paintings steeped in myth and mystery and executed in lush detail that her fans have come to expect. Discuss this show here. Streets: RVA Street Art Festival (Part II)

Last week, Jeff Soto (interviewed) sent over some in-progress photos from the RVA Street Art Festival in Richmond, Virginia where artists like Dalek, Mark Jenkins, Pose, Richard Colman, and others were painting murals along the James River Power Plant Building and Floodwall. Jeff has now followed up those pics with some of of the completed walls including areas where artist’s work leaked into each other’s field leading to some sweet collaborative work.
