Videos: Tim Biskup Installation @ The Standard (Hollywood)

Tim Biskup recently painted over the constantly changing art installation, The Box, in the lobby of The Standard, Hollywood. The glass encased chamber behind the front desk has hosted the work of many artists over the years and usually includes an attractive female inside as part of the installation which certainly fits in a city obsessed with voyeurism and exhibitionism. Take a look at the footage above as Tim turns the box into a giant monster mouth as he explains his views on the attractiveness of […]

The edition, entitled Infinite Tapestry, is a silkscreen print using florescent UV inks on black velvet-flocked paper. According to Electric Works, “the color background was applied with a process called ‘Split Fountain’ in which all 5 colors are put on the screen and mixed into the gradient in one pull as the squeegee goes across the screen. Each pull mixes the inks a little differently so each print is […]

The new Chris Brown album F.A.M.E.’s cover is out and it features the art of Ron English (featured). No telling if this will help turn the disgraced R&B singer’s career around, but what we do know is this is the not the first (see Ron’s Slash cover) or last album cover Ron will be working on. […]

Like her Alice in Wonderland themed show last year, Camille blended imagery that was consistent in both her repertoire and the well-known tale like apples, poisons, and strange creatures culminating in a fantastic series of new paintings and drawings.
