STANDARD (Oslo) and Mehdi Chouakri present Reciprocal Score, a two person exhibition of work by Tauba Auerbach and Charlotte Posenenske. showing at Indipendenza in Rome. The show includes new woven paintings by Auerbach, who incorporated architectural structure and ornaments from around the city into the works, along with Posenenske’s D and DW square tubes series. Showing: Aryz – “PARAL•LEL” (Los Angeles Popup)

Last month, PARAL•LEL opened in Los Angeles (viewings are by appointment only through May 31st), a pop up showing from prolific street artist Aryz. The new body of work touches on some of the surreal scenes seen in the Barcelona-based artist’s public murals including skeletal forms, repeating motifs / patterns, and still life inspired imagery. Along with these paintings rendered in his distinct ghostly aesthetic and color palette, there was also a truck custom covered in his work seen outside. Discuss Aryz here.

As mentioned, this Friday night, May 22nd, Shepard Fairey (featured) will be opening his solo entitled Printed Matters at Library Street Collective in Detroit. Releases: Kenny Scharf x The Hundreds

The Hundreds recently unveiled their collaboration with Kenny Scharf (interviewed) on a new line of apparel. Taking the legendary New York street artist’s Hanna Barbera inspired cartoon imagery, deployed in a repeating camouflage pattern, the new collection is a camping-inspired series which includes a poncho that converts into a tent.
