A couple weeks back, the David B. Smith Gallery in Denver hosted the opening for Gregory Euclide’s latest solo show. Entitled Observing only the ease of my own slipping toward your unknown, the new work sees Euclide continue to walk the thin line between two and three dimensional art. Streets: DesOrdes Creativas (Part III) – Liqen

After heavy hitters like the Italians Blu & Ericailcane did their thing at the DesOrdes Creativas Festival in Spain, Mexico’s finest Liqen has traveled to the town of Ordes to make his own mark. Seemingly taking a page from the political and figurative work of Blu, Liqen has painted a beautifully rendered mural of  a giant hand with a Shell logo ring sweeping their dirty laundry under the “rug.” Check the details below… Discuss Liqen here.

Streets: Joker / Shok-1 / Remi Rough (London)

There seems to be a whole lot of muralising going on around the Futurism 2.0 exhibition we previewed earlier this week with a host of out-of-town artists in London for the show (which opens on Thursday 27th September) such as Joker aka Jerry Inscoe from Transcend. Keep your eyes peeled for more action in the coming days. This collaboration between Joker, Shok-1 and Remi Rough works particularly well, and was completed over the last 2 days.

This year’s stellar lineup included of street artists like Ericailcane, Boris Hoppek, Conor Harrington, Moneyless, Cyop & Kaf, Vhils, Momo, & more and it looks like most of them contributed something to the exhibition including some more experimental ceramic works which is what the town of Grottaglie is known for. Tim O’Brien – Aged Mona Lisa for Discover Magazine

Tim O’Brien, an artist who has been featured here on AM before (see Tupac, Osama bin Laden as well as sweet Charlie Brown painting), has a new magazine cover out. The new painting that ended up being on the front of Discover Magazine’s new issue about the aging world was an older version of Davinci’s muse – Mona Lisa. Head over to to O’Brien’s blog to hear more on his creative process. Discuss Tim O’Brien here.
