As AM turns its eyes to October, one of the shows that stands out is Adam Neate’s new solo at Elms Lester. Following the fantastic Dalek & Delta show this month is “A New Understanding,” a body of work that Neate has been working on for 2 years. There has been news here and there from the cardboard street specialist, but we are really looking forward to seeing what Neate has to offer because in his own words “this body of work has changed totally […]

Openings: “Neighborhoods SF” @ 111 Minna

This past Labor Day Weekend, a couple friends from out of town visited AM here in SF.  As it was their first time in the city (and on the West Coast!), they wanted to get acquainted with the true San Francisco experience; from the head shops on Haight to the seedy underbelly of the Tenderloin.  Well, with gas prices climbing back up, we opted for the easier SF tour – we visited the “Neighborhoods” show that opened this past weekend at 111 Minna (previewed). More […]

Setup/Preview: The London Police – “Brothers in Arms” @ Carmichael Gallery

As you have seen in the video trailer we posted recently, The TLP (The London Police) show “Brothers in Arms” opening this Thursday looks to be an entertaining show. AM had the opportunity to stop by Carmichael Gallery last week to take a gander at what the dynamic duo were up to. We walked away impressed by their amazing linework (so perfect, it’s been mistaken for silkscreening) and more appreciative of the richer environments and growth of their work ever since Bob Gibson rejoined Chaz […]

Update: Faile @ Perry Rubenstein Gallery (2010)

Apparently Faile wasn’t kidding around when they signed with Perry Rubenstein Gallery in their backyard of New York City. With a slated solo show coming in 2010, the NYC artist collective seems to be heads-down working on a fresh batch goodies. We found some fresh images of the elusive Faile Boxes and canvases created this year. Check out the Nixon-Bunny image (above)! Is this a hint of what’s coming for the 2010 show in NYC or are these for the FIAC art fair? If so, […]

Interviews / Studio Visits: D*Face

D*Face is undoubtedly one of the most important artists working within the realms of street art today. His bold compositions and daring outdoor work continues to push the boundaries to new levels. Taking part of it’s name […]
