Mural: Joe Sorren – “The Veridic Gardens of Effie Leroux” in Flagstaff, Arizona

Last year, AM had the pleasure of visiting artist Joe Sorren at his studio in Flagstaff – you can check out our pictures here. Whilst we were there, Joe gave us a tour of the town, and in particular an insider’s look at his mural, titled “The Veridic Gardens of Effie Leroux”, in downtown Heritage Square. Video: Jaybo x Remi/Rough x Juice 126 – ProjectRoom

AM recently brought you details of the ProjectRoom event that Jaybo and Remi/Rough held last month in London with Juice 126. The artists combined their talents to create three collaborative pieces of work on the night. This nicely produced video gives some background of the project coming together, along with footage of the live painting itself, so now you can enjoy the fun even if you couldn’t make it. Streets: Escif – “Nice Time For A Revolution” (Spain)

Spanish street artist Escif recently participated in the Insitu Festival along with other artists like San, Herbert Baglione, and Sam3. He decided to contribute this mural to the event held in his home country, filled with his hooded characters causing Mayhem which is aptly named “Nice Time For A Revolution”. Streets: LUDO lenticular

While he was in London, LUDO (interviewed) decided to hit up the same spot where ROA’s famous lenticular rabbit once stood. In fact, you can see the remnants of that piece still peaking out from the bottom. Preview: Meggs – “King for a Day” @ Above Second Gallery

Our friends over at Above Second have sent over some images of Meggs working on some pieces for the opening of his show on July 9th (6pm – late). After recently opening a similarly named show “King for a Day” at his own gallery down under, the Melbourne based artist has traveled all the way to Hong Kong to showcase a new body of work. Our friend Gaia is currently in Korea working on some new projects.  Here is a “Tiger Rabbit” piece he put up in Seoul and in his words “the hybrid of the Tiger and Rabbit signifies the annual transition in the Korean calendar. Furthermore, these archetypal symbols of aggression and submission address the hierarchy of japanese colonization and contemporary korean identity.
