Streets: D*Face

Originally thought to be an April Fool’s joke, United Kingdom street artist D*Face had the last laugh when he released a 20 pound sterling note remixed in his signature 80’s punk and skate inspired style on over ten digital billboards throughout the city in protest of the G-20 London Summit. Were the advertisements paid for or did D*Face hack into the computer systems controlling the billboards? A message on D*Face’s website reads: “No fools day. Where there’s a will there’s a way. Catch them before […]

Having seen the “Who watches the watchmen?” tag scrawled on the sides of buildings, across payphones, and even on the back of a truck, we doubt that the writers received permission to put the work up. Is this the work of Comic-Con-going fans who can’t contain their excitement about tomorrow’s movie opening or is this […]

On the streets: Faile vs. Supreme?

Looks like Faile has been working overtime in the streets of NYC at the expense of Supreme’s Spring ad campaign. Numerous ad posters were altered and remixed across the streets of New York. Faile replaced rocker Lou Reed’s “grill” with their infamous tiger face and also replaced the classic Supreme “box logo” on center of the shirt with the Collective’s catch phrase: “vanity”. Apparently this “remix” is a urban retaliation to Supreme’s annual guerrilla-spam ad campaigns. These campaigns allegedly consists of plastering numerous posters/pasters all […]
