Currently in Amsterdam, fans of Boris Tellegen (DELTA) can check out an installation that is showing at the Ron Mandos Gallery. The locally based graffiti and fine artist was invited to participate in the Edge Of Space exhibition that primarily showcases the work of Ron van der Ende. For his part, Tellegen contributed an inset sculptural installation that continues to explore the transformation of his two-dimensional street work into three-dimensional mixed media pieces. Jonathan Darby – “Congo” @ White Walls

British artist Jonathan Darby recently transformed San Francisco’s White Walls gallery to give the feel of the war torn city of Goma, which is located in the Congo with the population of around a million people. The installation consists of paintings, sounds, photography and film that spotlight the conditions the children of the area live in. Openings: ROA – “Carrion” @ Backwoods Gallery

The Beligum-based ROA, who was recently featured on MOCAtv, has a new exhibition in Melbourne at the Backwoods Gallery entitled Carrion. Fans down under may remember his last showing in Oz in 2010 (covered), but this time the street artist took it up a notch with his installations. Along with his anatomical dissections of native species with his brushstrokes, the art was surrounded by tanks filled with decaying creatures and skeletal remains. Showing: Know Hope – “The Weight” @ Known Gallery

Last week, the Known Gallery in Los Angeles welcomed the Israel-based Know Hope in to display new works as well as create an installation for their showspace. Entitled The Weight, the new paintings and sculptural compositions touched on the subject of the burdens we have and how we manage them. Along with glimpses of his spindly characters, the poetic musings seen in his street work also made the trip over on minimalistic pieces on the side of the gallery. Next up on the mural creation project at start-up incubator JuiceTank is Hawaiian native Ian Kuali’i. The NYC-based artist has long served as Doze Green’s assistant and has really come into his own in the past few years. Utilizing a diverse mix of skill-sets such as intricate hand cut paper, acrylics and aerosols, Ian has consistently created intriguing mixed media artwork. At the end of last month, Norway saw another edition of the annual Nuart Festival roll around. And as usual, another stellar lineup of artists stopped by to work on public art projects for local and traveling street art fans to enjoy. Participants Aakash Nihalani, Dolk, Eine, How & Nosm, Jordan Seiler, Mobstr (above), Ron English, Niels Shoe Muelman, Saber, Sickboy, The Wa also found time to create some indoor installations and murals for an associated group showing. Openings: Todd “REAS” James – “Free To be You & Me” @ V1 Gallery (Part II)

Earlier this week, we shared some photos of the paintings from the current Todd James (aka REAS) exhibition, Free To be You & Me, at V1 Gallery in Copenhagen.
