Year after year, Unlimited is further confirming its position as an essential part of Art Basel week in Switzerland. Started as a unique platform that showcases art which transcend the traditional art-fair booths in scale by offering 16,000 square meters of exhibition space for monumental sculptures, video projections, wall paintings, photographic series and performances. This unique concept is becoming more and more popular both with the galleries that want to show the most ambitious projects by their artists, as well as with the visitors that have an […]

Street artist Brusk from the Da Mental Vaporz crew has returned to Paris for a exhibition entitled In Memoriam at Galerie Laurent Strouk that runs until July 15th, his second solo show (see Ad Vitam Eternam coverage here) in Paris. As you will see, the front sign ‘Matignon’ has been cheekily stroked through with black spray paint while highlighting the letters ART in the Gallery name. Combining a Fine Arts background with more than twenty years of graffiti, Brusk’s gestural painting is instantly recognizable. The French artist creates questions, variations, wanderings through a poetic fantasy, […]
Nature First is the title of the latest action by Pejac, revealed the other day via his official website. This installation once again shows his ability to work with different mediums while passing on a strong, important message. Like most of his works, this intervention speaks about environmental issues – the over-exploitation of natural resources, namely cutting down trees for human need. Playing with the idea of the surreal and familiar, the Spanish artist placed a children’s slide inside a forest in Olot just outside Gerona, […]
Over the course of last couple of months, Ernest Zacharevic and a select of group of artists and activists have visited Sumatra and created public works and installations in effort to raise the awareness about the devastating effects of the booming unregulated farming practices of Palm Oil in Indonesia. After almost two years of planning, the Splash and Burn project that was fully self founded and self organized by the Lithuanian artist and his team, has been shared with the public and the results are impressive to […]
On June 5th, felt artist Lucy Sparrow will transform a 1200-square-foot space off The Standard, High Line’s Biergarten into a fully stocked felt convenience store as she opens her big US debut entitled 8 Till Late. Three years after a similar art installation project in London, one of the UK’s most exciting artists will be introducing her quirky universe to New York City’s Meatpacking District. Customers will be invited to browse the aisles and do their regular grocery shopping, selecting fluffy editions of their favorite convenience store products. Every item you […]

Recently in Venice, California, Faile (featured) completed an tile installation that wrapped around the facade of one of the housesoff a side street of Abbot Kinney (741 California Avenue). If you recall, the Brooklyn-based duo have worked with tiles before in some of their installations like the Faile Temple (covered). This new 16,000 piece from the two features twelve different motifs in a striking patchwork-like composition that captures cultural history of the area including imagery like a skateboard wheel & nut, Golden State Poppy, Venice Beach basketball court, […]
