Roq la Rue recently employed the help of many amazing artists to fill the walls for their Otherworld group show. American artist Maya Hayuk recently visited Cologne, Germany where she took part in its CityLeaks Urban Art Festival. It is the second time that the event has been organized there this year. Joshua Liner Gallery recently welcomed the return of Oliver Vernon to New York City, with a new solo show entitled Renegade Trajectories. This fresh exhibition highlights Vernon’s cerebral and energetic visuals and pushes them to another level. Vernon utilized a variety of mediums and techniques to create this new collection of landscape abstraction, including acrylic on canvas or linen, as well as ink works on paper. Tracey Emin recently revealed a duo gallery show at New York’s Lehmann Maupin. Entitled I Followed You To The Sun, this massive show featuring 100 works of art was displayed at both it’s 26th Street and Chrystie Street gallery locations. Matthew Marks Gallery is currently celebrating the 90th birthday of American artist Ellsworth Kelly with an exhibition aptly entitled At Ninety, which spans all three of the gallery’s Chlesea spaces. For over 60 years, Kelly has expressed his own style of minimalist art through painting, sculpting and print-making, often focusing on simple forms and monochromatic colors. Excuse My French opened at La Galerie Celal a couple of weeks back and features the work of Remi Rough and RCF1. The cross channel 2-person show brought together the London and Paris-based artists that have followed similar career trajectories over the last 20 years since first putting in their time on the streets.
