Amory Week ’12: Richard Heller Gallery

Last week in spectacular fashion, the new exhibition from Conor Harrington (interviewed) opened at Lazarides Gallery’s flagship Rathbone Place location in London. Hey ninjas… if you follow the NBA, you’re probably aware of the sensation known as Jeremy Lin, the Taiwanese American basketball phenom who has inspired excitement (aka Linsanity) among legions of fans around the world. Streets: Vhils (Shanghai)

As indicated in some teaser shots of Vhils’ street work when he first got to China as well as a preview video posted here, the Portuguese artist has been hard at work preparing for his showing at the 18 Gallery (presented by Magda Danysz) opening March 31st. Openings: Tomokazu Matsuyama x The Standard – Snow Globes

Last week, AM caught the opening night for the unveiling of Tomokazu Matusyama’s (featured) exclusive snow globe (available here) created with The Standard Hotel. Continuing a long line of quality artist collaborations with artists like Ryan McGinness, KAWS, and Jose Parla, this unique project takes Matsu’s iconic Running Deep series of paintings and miniaturizes them into unique sculptures. Openings: Todd James – “King of the Wild Frontier” @ Gering & Lopez

Last Thursday night, Todd James (aka REAS) unveiled a new body of works at New York’s Gering & Lopez. Entitled King of the Wild Frontier, this series takes another step forward from his previous showing with the gallery.
