2010 Whitney Annual Gala & Studio Party

Tomorrow night in Seattle, two artists we have our eyes on, Femke Hiemstra and Ryan Heshka will be opening a show together at the Roq La Rue Gallery. Femke hails from the Netherlands and will be bringing a new body of work entitled “The Bone Shaped Bone” featuring her imaginative paintings, often on found objects like the book seen above. Releases: Remi/Rough – ‘Phenomenology 0.1′ Screenprint

Literally hot off the presses comes this new release from Remi/Rough – his first screenprint entitled ‘Phenomenology 0.1’. Bursting with vibrant colours, this hand pulled print comes in an edition of 50 copies and is published by Laura McNamara. Setup: Erica Il Cane – “We Were Living In The Woods” @ Fifty24SF

It looks like Erica Il Cane has started to transform the Fifty24SF space into a personal playground for his whimsical characters with paintings as well as murals inside and outside of the gallery. Rhinomilk (AM:SF) visited the Italian street artist and took some pics of the setup for you to peruse ahead of the opening of his show “We Were Living In The Woods” (previewed) tomorrow night.
