This weekend, Galerie Perrotin in Paris hosted the opening of a new show from Aya Takano entitled The Jelly Civilization Chronicle. The ethereal and dreamy 26 paintings and drawings on display are the preparatory studies for a 186-page manga of the same name from the Japanese artist. This weekend, until Sunday, March 19th at 11:59pm PST, Audrey Kawasaki (interviewed) will be releasing a new print entitled As I Fall. The 48 hour time limited edition is a reproduction of one of the paintings from the Los Angeles-based artist’s solo show from last year (covered), a painting influenced by the smoggy sunsets of LA. On February 16th, the Croatian Association of Visual Artists held a quadruple solo show presentation by some fresh young talents. Igor Taritaš was one of the artists that had a chance to present his work at the unique space of Galerija Prsten in Zagreb, along with Iva Habus, Radovan Kunić and Maya Rozman. On March 3rd, Kaikai Kiki Gallery in Motoazabu, Tokyo, opened a debut Japan solo exhibition by American artist Austin Lee. Serious Works is sort of a parody title for a show that consists of paintings and sculptures done in Lee’s colorful, naive style. For this showcase, the NYC-based artist created an extensive installation within the gallery space. Adam Neate (interviewed) just released one of his peculiar dimensional paintings as a handmade multiple edition in collaboration with Elm Lesters Painting Rooms. AM recently had the pleasure of stopping by the studio of legendary graffiti writer & artist Crash (featured) at his Bronx work space. Streets: Nychos (Melbourne)

Recently in Melbourne, Nychos got up big with a new mural on Easey Street in Collingwood entitled Anatomy of a Kangaroo and painted in his signature dissected style. Making good use of his time, the Austrian artist will also be opening a show on March 10th at Juddy Roller entitled Monochrome Organism as well as unveiling a sculpture project, The Dissection of Sigmund Freud.
