Previews: David Ellis – “True Value” @ Joshua Liner Gallery

Opening tonight at the Joshua Liner Gallery is True Value, Barnstormer David Ellis‘ first solo exhibition with the gallery. The multi-talented Ellis will be showing an exciting and varied collection of new and recent work, including paintings, videos and his 2011 Pulse Prize-winning kinetic sound sculpture True Value (Paint Fukette). Preview / Installation: Hush @ Onethirty3

Video / Preview: Swoon – “Murmuration” @ Black Rat Projects

We mentioned this a couple weeks ago, but now is a good time for a reminder to make your way down to Black Rat Projects on December 1st for the unveiling of Swoon’s (interviewed) newest showing. Entitled Mumuration, the project has taken the Brooklyn-based artist three long weeks to create, transforming the gallery into an immersive installation featuring her signature intricate and elaborate paper cuts and sculptural shapings.
