While AM is getting ready for trip to Norway for Nuart 2016, we just received couple of work in progress photos by festival photographers Brian Tallman, John Rodger and Calum Lasham. Coming up next weekend, Jeff Soto (interviewed) will be returning to Jonathan LeVine Gallery for his fifth solo with the New York showspace. The new exhibition is kind of a nostalgic look back at the imagery that the Southern California-based artist has been sharing with his fans throughout his career – iconic characters like yetis, reapers, robots, walkers, and the Sotofish. Soto further states – “I always feel like an artist’s entire body of work should be fair game to use. My cast of characters and the worlds I create are The Sotofish Society.” […]

Recently in Lodz, Etam Cru and Robert Proch teamed up to paint an amazing new mural they entitled Enjoy The Silence. The wall was painted for UNIQA Art Lodz, a new urban art program curated by Michał Bieżyński (of Lodz Murals). Located in a high traffic area (Sienkiewicza 81), the piece naturally went to the two artists (Etam Cru) who got their start in the central Polish city as well as to Proch, one of the best muralists in Poland. Only few days before the official beginning of Nuart 2016, the team behind one of the leading street art festivals introduced their brand new Art City program. Sofia and the Mountain by NIMI was recently painted in light of Region Stavanger’s new mandate to further promote art and culture. This is the first artwork to be produced under Nuart’s self-financed initiative Art City program. Recently in Linz, Nychos painted one of his largest and most detailed murals to date for the Mural Harbor project. The Austrian street artist certainly gave his best effort for this piece in his motherland which was entitled Translucent Serpent – two huge snakes, one with its insides exposed. Utilizing a generous amount of Montana Gold “Lime”, Nychos was able to leave a great example of his anatomical style next to the train tracks. Recently in Drammen, Noway, artistic duo Telmo Miel painted a mural entitled Når jeg blir Stor or When I Grow Up for the UGANGprosjektet. Referencing the country’s viking roots, the piece was the second one the two painted on their trip (first one here). Continuing his unique approach to his art form, Addam Yekutieli aka Know Hope (interviewed) recently revealed his latest project – Vicariously Speaking (commissioned by OZ Arts for OZ Art Fest). The Israeli artist began writing prisoners on death row in a Nashville penitentiary earlier this year. He then took key phrases from their correspondence and presented them on a series of billboards throughout the city written in his distinctive script. Last weekend, the latest artist to paint a mural at the iconic Bowery & Houston corner in New York finished his weeks of hard work.
