Imperfect Reality with Figures and Challenging Abstraction is the title of an installation by Chris Johanson that will open on September 17th at The Conversation. His first Berlin solo show will be hosted by a nomadic cultural project founded by curator and artist Aaron Rose and gallerist Johann Haehling von Lanzenauer. Releases: Rod Luff – “Afterglow” Print

The People’s Print Shop recently released a new limited edition from Rod Luff entitled Afterglow. Available in a signed and numbered run of 30, the image from the Sydney-based artist is taken from his piece from the recent Moleskin V group show which he co-curated. Streets: SHOK-1 (Paris)

Shok-1 was recently invited to Paris by his artist friend Franck Duvall. During his visit, the pioneer of aerosol X-ray art painted a new mural titled Dark Magic. The image depicts hands forming a shadow puppet bunny, with the shadow behind being an anatomically correct X-ray of a rabbit. The clever idea is completed by mixing two different techniques which accent his unique style. Streets: AEC (Interesni Kazki) // Bloop Festival (Ibiza)

Earlier this month, AEC from Interesni Kazki (interviewed) traveled to Ibiza for the latest Bloop Festival. The mural was painted as part of the OpenAir.Gallery project, the festival’s long term plan to convert the island into a true gallery under the skies, open all year round. Releases: Rustam QBic – “After School” Print

A few months after completing a mural with this same image in Bodo, Norway, Rustam Qbic recently announced a new hand finished print release through Unframed Editions. After School screen prints will be released on Tuesday, August 23rd at 6pm London time (1pm New-York) in two editions.
