Openings: Dennis Morris – “Bob Marley: Giant” @ Known Gallery

Over the weekend, the Known Gallery in Los Angeles hosted the opening for an exhibition from Dennis Morris, a UK-based photographer especially known for his work in the music industry. This particular showing focuses on his iconic shots of Bob Marley, a seminal period of time in his young career when he toured with the Jamaican singer-songwriter. Releases: BNE x Banksy (Artists 4 Water)

After recently releasing limited edition t-shirts in collaboration with Space Invader, Faile and Shepard Fairey, BNE is continuing the Artists 4 Water effort with another major artist. On World Water Day, Saturday, March 22 at 12 Noon PST, there will apparently be a collaborative release from Banksy (although no official confirmation yet) on BNE.org. Tonight, February 5th (5-8pm), Stephen Webster in Beverly Hills will be hosting a new show from  D*Face (interviewed) along with the US release of his new monograph – One Man and His Dog. Along with this signing session, a new collaboration print between the UK-based artist and his friend Shepard Fairey, who wrote an essay for the book, will be released entitled FACE to *FACE (Edition of 200, 18″ x 24″, $80). The UK-based D*Face (interviewed) will be traveling to Stephen Webster’s Beverly Hills for the US launch of his book One Man and His Dog on Wednesday, February 5th (5-8pm). Along with the standard edition of the monograph, a special box set (limited to 50, $250) will be available which includes a six color screen print.
