Streets: El Mac (Los Angeles)

After returning from Denmark where he worked on several murals and a solo exhibition, El Mac recently took time to paint a wall in Little Armenia. Arranged for by FX, the new piece will help promote their series, The Bridge, for several months before reverting to another beautiful addition to the urban landscape in Los Angeles. AM recently had the pleasure to visit the studio of multi-disciplinary artist Jen Stark as she prepares for her debut solo show in Canada tonight (6-10 pm) with Cooper Cole in Toronto. The LA-based artist’s process is meticulous and her studio is very well organized with numerous projects coming to life simultaneously. Yoskay Yamamoto Magento Mural

Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed) was recently asked by the good people of Magento to paint a mural in their Los Angeles offices. Combining the imagery seen in previous walls he got up on (Hawaii & Los Angeles), the LA-based artist worked his magic on the two-sided space he was given with a series of stencil-based and painterly techniques. Streets: Rostarr for Absolut Open Canvas (New York)

Rostarr (featured) was recently invited to participate in the Open Canvas intiative put on by Absolut in Brooklyn. The New York-based artist, who only recently exhibited at the local branch of the Opera Gallery (covered), joined twenty other participants as they transformed North 6th street in Williamsburg through the project.
