It’s been almost a year since we caught up with Damon Soule at his New York showing, but it looks like he has been putting his time to good use. Then What Happened will open tomorrow night, August 20th at the Fecal Face Dot Gallery in San Francisco and will feature his vibrant and organic imagery, some looking pretty large-scale. Continuing our summary of Anthony Lister’s (interviewed) murals while he was in Los Angeles (see the first set of walls here), we turn our attention to the last four locations. Including this photoset will be his work at the Ironlak store (above), De La Barracuda Part II, as well as spots in Melrose and Venice. Preview: Ken Garduno – “Golden Structure” @ LeBasse Projects – Chinatown

Tomorrow night, August 19th, Ken Garduno will be presenting a new body of work at the LeBasse Projects Chinatown location. Golden Structure features the LA-based artist’s watercolor and ink paintings where he will be exploring themes of relationships. The often unsettling facial expressions and settings create a “dialog riddled with jealosy, betrayal, and a prounounced sense of sexual tension.” More preview images after the jump…

Last Friday, the C.A.V.E. Gallery and Brooklyn Street Art in collaboration with Thinkspace presented an exhibit titled 39 Stories: Street Art Saved My Life. The exhibit featured 39 different artists including the likes of Anthony Lister, Futura, Judith Supine, Know Hope, Faile, and Swoon to many other names familiar to AM readers. A couple nights ago, the São Paulo Museum of Art (MASP) played host to the opening of De Dentro e De Fora or Inside Out Outside In, seemingly a repeated title for many recent street art exhibitions and videos in some variation or another. Releases: Phlegm – “Illuminated Alphabet” Book

The newest zine that Phlegm had been hard at work at (first mentioned here) has finally been made available and what a beauty it is. The postcard size book is completely handmade and painstakingly silk-screened as each letter is illustrated in the UK-based street artist’s signature imagery. The edition size is 300 and priced shipped to UK addresses for £10 and anywhere outside the UK fro £11.50 (with a simple version slightly cheaper). More images after the jump…

After celebrating his 1000th piece placed in the streets with a huge show in Paris, it looks like Invader is continuing onward towards 2000. Take a look at these new pieces in the Brazilian street art mecca of São Paulo. Of interest are the daring placements, the use of tiles with local flavor, locations next to local talent, and even a rare throw-up from the French street tile master.
