Upcoming: Faile – “Stages” @ Galerie Springmann

After a successful show in Detroit (covered), Faile (featured) has turned their attention to their next project. Entitled Stages, the new exhibition opening on December 2nd at Galerie Springmann in Berlin will feature some more painterly and graffiti-laced works as well as some of the Brooklyn-based duo’s puzzle-based works. Streets: Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada – “Connection” (Beirut)

Recently in Beirut, Lebanon, Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada (featured) completed a mural entitled Connection with support from BAD (Built by Associative Data). The wall now (commissioned by Beirut Digital District) features a young boy exploring an electric circuit board, touching on the need for innovation and education in building a better future for the country. Taking a full ten days for the Cuban-American artist to complete, the piece deftly navigates various architectural elements to spread across the structure. Discuss Jorge Rodriguez-Gerada here.

Previews: Ben Tolman – “New Drawings” @ Galerie LJ

On December 7th, Ben Tolman will be unveiling some of his latest works at Galerie LJ in Paris. The solo show will highlight the American artists hyper-detailed ink drawings that depict the density of urban sprawl with surreal elements mixed, sometimes with impossible architectural constructs (à la M.C. Croatian artist Igor Taritaš will be opening a solo with a new gallery, Tales Of Art, in Imola, Italy, on November 25th. For Alienated Space, the young artist created a new series of distinctive acrylic paintings that explore the notion of space through play with architecture and light. Releases: Mark Ryden – “Snow Yak Ornament”

Tomorrow (November 20), Mark Ryden (interviewed) will be releasing something that might come in handy when you start setting up your Christmas tree. The Snow Yak Ornament was created with 3D printing and is a sculptural reproduction of one his most recognizable characters. Releases: KAWS x Air Jordan 4 Shoes (Black)

It now sounds like the black version (see gray version) of the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 collaboration will be released on Cyber Monday. Constructed in a black suede upper, the sneakers features the Brooklyn-based artist’s signature “XX” on the heel and hang tag, a Jumpman x KAWS logo on the insole, and a glow-in-the-dark outsole.
