1xRun recently teamed up with Roger Gastman to create an extensive monograph for one of the most legendary LA writers and graffiti icon RISK (interviewed). The Detroit-based publisher released these 350 page hardcover books on July 17th, coming either with a limited edition print or original artwork. The book itself covers the story of Risk, from the very early 80s to the present day. On the 10th of February at 6pm, 1xRun.com opened the doors to their 3rd annual POW! WOW! Hawaii print show at the Fresh Cafe in Kaka’ako hand in hand with Pangeaseed’s presentation of their Sea Walls releases. Offering rare copies of recent releases by POW! WOW! Along with mural painting that started off today and a museum show with Thinkspace Gallery (covered), one of the central events of POW! WOW! Hawaii is the print exhibition organized in collaboration with 1xRun.com. For their 3rd annual show they scheduled 30+ limited edition print releases featuring most of the artists from this year POW! Streets: Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans – Mexico Expedition

A couple of weeks ago Pangeaseed.org wrapped up another praiseworthy project on the island of Isla Mujeres, Mexico – Sea Walls: Murals for Oceans – Mexico Expedition. For this event that took place from July 20-28, they invited a group of international artists to help raise awareness for the conservation of the ocean. Similar to what they did with POW! WOW! One of the main events of this year’s POW! WOW! Hawaii was the release of a POW! WOW! 2104 Featured Artists Series of limited edition prints by the 1xRun, as well as the opening of their popup show along with the Pangeaseed organization. Releasing at 9am Pacific (noon Eastern) time on Tuesday, March 19 by 1xRUN is a limited edition (of 200) print by the highly respected graffiti writer/fine artist REVOK. Titled 1313 Milwaukee and priced at $200, it is a 30″x30″ archival pigment print on hand-deckled, 300gsm water color cotton paper.
