Basel Week Miami ’15 / Previews: Jeff Gillette // Copro Gallery @ SCOPE

Some 10 days before the official start of Basel Week Miami in Florida, Copro Gallery has introduced two new works by Jeff Gillette, created exclusively for this occasion. The originator of Dismayland concept (covered), created two paintings influenced by his recent participation in Banksy’s Dismaland (covered). The first piece titled Dismaland Castle depicets a post-apocalyptic Dismaland setting. With the infamous torn down Disney castle in the center, WSM seaside in the back, and the entire area being covered with rubbish and slum-like constructions, it looks like a bad case future scenario to say […]

This year’s Moniker Art Fair 2015 in London will be hosting the premiere UK solo exhibition of Bom.K, organized by MYA gallery. L’imprévisible Imaginaire will include the newest paintings by one of the founding members of the DMV crew. The French artist, who developed a very recognizable style through his outdoor works, has been producing studio works for the last decade. Focusing on the darker side of urban reality, madness, life in the peripheral suburbs, social exclusion, fear and hate, his work is like the unwanted voice of his generation. […]
