Releases: Cleon Peterson Sculptural Editions

In association with his upcoming show in Detroit, Cleon Peterson has released a series of sculptural editions for fans who want to see his brutal imagery taken to the third dimension. The three offered sculpts come in an edition of ten in three different colorways (black, white, and gold), mirroring the palette of the provocative artist’s paintings. Releases: Barry McGee x HUF Skatedeck

HUF recently released a skate deck featuring the iconic work of Bay Area legend Barry McGee, sold-out on their website but still available here. The 7-ply skateboard measures 31″ x 9″ and features one of the McGee’s faces on the top. American singer-songwriter, rapper, record producer, and fashion designer Pharrell Williams once again has collaborated with adidas Originals on a soon to be released collection with the Supershell. Williams teamed up with Todd “REAS” James, Mr., architect Zaha Hadid, and photographer Cass Bird on a series of sneakers that features a different graphic or sculpt to the shelltoe. Six were designed by Williams himself which in total comprised the 10 different designs, which will be offered in black or white colorways starting next month. Via Hypebeast.

It’s summertime and anticipation is growing for the next Hennessy VS cognac bottle with this year being the 250th anniversary for the world’s largest and most storied cognac maker. For this occasion, Ryan McGinness (featured) was selected to chair the design of their iconic VS silhouette. Previews: Yoskay Yamamoto x Sunny Side Up Studio – “Pothead” @ GR2 Gallery

This Sunday, July 19th, from 2 – 5 PM, Sunny Side Up Studio will be holding a pre-release event at GR2 Gallery for their Pothead line of products designed by co-founder Yoskay Yamamoto (interviewed). Featuring the signature facial features seen in sculptural pieces from the Los Angeles-based artist, the hand-made plant holder comes in two colors – white and yellow – and are priced at $80 each. Takashi Murakami x Vans Vault Showcase @ Hotel Du Grand Veneur

Over the weekend Hotel Du Grand Veneur in Paris hosted a collaborative showcase between Takashi Murakami and Vans. Coinciding with this season’s Paris Fashion Week, the launch event featured shoes (adult and child), skate decks, surf boards, tees, and related artwork. as well as a roundtable conversation with the esteemed Japanese artist. Releases: Jeremy Geddes – “Ascent” Hoodie

Daylight Curfew has just announced the release of their collaboration with Jeremy Geddes (interviewed) for their DLC Black Label line. Entitled Ascent, the same name as one of the Australian painter’s iconic images (also released as a print), the new hoodie will be limited to 100 pieces and feature their own embroidered edition numbers. Those who follows Shok-1 and his distinctive work on the streets are no doubt familiar with his x-ray spray technique. One of the London-based artist’s most well received murals comes from last year when he merged his aesthetic with pop culture and painted a Pac-Man as it would look if it had bones. On June 27th, Takashi Murakami will be releasing a collaboration he has been working on with Vans. Utilizing his iconic imagery, the set will include six pairs of Vans Classic Slip-Ons, four skate decks, three tees, and three pairs of slip-ons for your little art collectors out there.
