On June 15th & 16th, Askew One visited Geneva, Switzerland, to participate in a project organized by Galartis auction house and the MyFinBec creative platform. During those two days, the New Zealand-based artist painted a 3 x 2 meter mural on 84 wood wine cases at the showroom for the street art auction that took place June 22. Continuing his long time collaboration with Prada, James Jean (interviewed) has followed up his recent work on their 2018 Resort Collection (covered) with work on their SS 2018 Collection. The eighth edition of the Essential 1800 Artist Series features the artwork of Enoc Perez. This annual series was started by 1800 Tequila as a way to showcase art in a non-traditional medium and has featured the artwork of such luminaries as Basquiat and Haring. Although we’ve barely warmed up to KAWS’ latest product (covered), he surprises us with even more news via Instagram. “I’m happy to finally be able to announce a new project releasing this April with Uniqlo…” Like his previous Uniqlo project, there will be KAWS x Peanuts apparel as well as some plush toys apparently this go around (see below). Sporting a cool grey color reminiscent of his iconic vinyl figures, the KAWS x Air Jordan 4 is set for release later this month. Featuring graphic detailing from the Brooklyn-based artist and his famous double x’s on the heel tab as well as a glow in the dark outsole. Recently on her webstore, Jen Stark released a small clothing line featuring here “drippy” imagery. For those interested, there are now a men’s t-shirt, women’s crop top, and leggings all featuring the psychedelic drip patterns often seen in her work with a price set at $45, $40, and $55 respectively. Those are bold enough to wear these will certainly drawing attention to their style and at the same time introducing the work of Stark to everyone who sees them. Discuss Jen Stark here.

Following up on the first phase of his Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles collaboration with Good Smile in 2014 (covered), James Jean (interviewed) will be releasing some of the villains from the cartoon series, films, and comic books. The Japanese manufacturer of hobby products is teaming up with Nickelodeon and Jean to design new collectible versions of Shredder, Bebop, Rocksteady and Krang. It looks like first up will be their archenemy Shredder (preorder here) and also an offer of a limited edition aluminum art print (seen below) for those that eventually order all four. Releases: Luke Chueh – “The Prisoner (Oxycontin)” Figure

This Saturday (February 25th, 5-9pm), Luke Chueh (interviewed) will be releasing the OxyContin 20Mg variant of The Prisoner figure based on one of his paintings. The pink version features one of the Los Angeles-based artist’s signature sad bears sitting entrapped in a pill bottle (just like his Vicodin edition). KAWS Releasing Remaining Stock Of “BFF” Plush (Black Version)

For those who missed the original blue colorway of KAWS’ BFF plush (covered) in Thailand, there was another chance with the recent slate of black versions that were released in conjunction with his exhibition in Texas (covered). Limited to 3000, these were not easy to come by either but here is another opportunity for fans out there as the Brooklyn-based artist will be re-releasing some leftover stock tomorrow (9 PST) on his website for $200 each. Releases: FriendsWithYou – “Little Cloud Pocket Amulet”

Earlier today, FriendsWithYou release a new sculpture edition – the Little Cloud Pocket Amulet. Limited to a run of 1000, the collectible meant to be an “enduring symbol of love and light as well as the idea that everything has a soul” is made from brass plated lead-free pewter and will cost $60.
