Although already open to the public as of a couple days ago, the Boston ICA will be celebrating the start of the Os Gemeos exhibition (previewed) today with a waterfront launch party, complete with Caipirinhas, Brazilian street food, and DJs who will take visitors to the heart of the artists’ native São Paulo. As we previewed the installation process a couple weeks back, Swoon (interviewed) has now completed her site-specific installation Anthropocene Extinction for The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA). After presenting The Big Easy with her stunning Thalassa installation at the New Orleans Museum of Art in June, Swoon (interviewed) is moving on to her next project.  On the occasion of its 75th anniversary, The Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston (ICA) has commissioned the Brooklyn-based artist to create an installation for the Sandra and Gerald Fineberg Art Wall.
