Openings: “Space//Squared” @ White Walls Gallery

Last month, White Walls Gallery in San Francisco opened a group exhibition entitled Space//Squared. Curated by Sven Davis, the showing was a followup to an event last year in Portland (covered). Basel Week Miami ’13 / Openings: “Most Oddinism” @ The Rotunda

Another interesting exhibition that occured during Art Basel Week was entitled Most Oddinism located at The Rotunda, just a block from a number of fairs such as Miami Projects, Art Miami & Context in Miami’s Downtown district. This group show featured the works by many familiar artists you’ve seen here at AM including Aaron De La Cruz, Christopher Derek Bruno, Ben Eine, Kenji Hirata Anthony Lister, Otto Zitko, Patrick Martinez (seen above), ESPO and Roid. Basel Week Miami ’13 / Previews: “Most Oddinism” @ The Rotunda

Another exhibition to visit while in town for Art Basel Week in Miami is Most Oddinism, a group exhibition exploring the work of eight artists that got their start in the streets. Running from December 4th to 8th, the show will include Aaron De La Cruz, Christopher Derek Bruno, Ben Eine, Kenji Hirata, Otto Zitko, Patrick Martinez, Steve Powers, and Roid (seen above). Openings: “Three The Hard Way” @ Breeze Block Gallery

Earlier this month, the Breeze Block Gallery in Portland played host to a three-man show entitled Three The Hard Way. The three artists, Christopher Derek Bruno (interviewed), Augustine Kofie (featured), and Jerry ‘Joker’ Inscoe are all members of the Transcend Collective and have evolved their individual aesthetics while drawing from their graffiti background. Openings: “Wider than a postcard” & olive47 – “bonita bonita” @ Breeze Block Gallery

Breeze Block Gallery opened their huge group show Wider than a postcard (previewed) alongside the first solo show in their new gallery 2 space – olive47’s bonita bonita (featured) a couple of weeks back to a packed Portland crowd. Over 400 individual works went into the postcard show with 200 artists providing postcard sized works. The work was hung on the walls in grids of 24 cards, each echoing the aspect ratio of the individual works themselves as each work was 6×4 inches. The variance of work encompassed photography […]
