Currently at the Paris branch of Galerie Perrotin, a group exhibition curated by Pharrell Williams will be on display through June 25th. Festival Images (Switzerland)

Starting this weekend in Vevey, Switzerland, the Festival Images kicks off with a series of outdoor and indoor projects as well as associated programming. If you remember, the event (held biannually) was anchored by the Unframed project in 2010 from French street photographer JR. Previews: Christie’s x Murakami “Tohoku-Pacific Earthquake Benefit” Auction

On Friday, November 9th, Christie’s will partner with Takashi Murakami and Kaikai Kiki Co., Ltd. to provide support for the victims of the March 11, 2011 Tohoku-Pacific earthquake in Japan by dedicating a special section of a forthcoming New York auction to the continuing relief effort. Proceeds from the sale – expected to reach $5 million – will be contributed to The Sasakawa Peace Foundation, Global Giving, and International Medical Corps, providing relief to the survivors of the catastrophe. Basel Week Miami ’10 – Sprüth Magers

Sprüth Magers – based out of Berlin and London – certainly brought back to the states work by some of America’s best artists.  Their booth included a prominent sculpture by Sterling Ruby, a painting by artist-of-the-hour George Condo (whose paintings seemed to be everywhere at the fair this year), a photo by Cindy Sherman, a large text-based installation by Jenny Holzer, instantly-recognizable John Baldessari and Barbara Kruger pieces, and a painting by Jeff Koons.  See them for yourself after the jump… More after the jump…
