After a showing in Berlin (covered) in 2014 and joining the 56th International Venice Biennale Arte (covered) in 2015, Katrin Fridriks will be showing soon at Lazarides Rathbone. For her second solo with the London gallery (opening in May), the Icelandic abstract and conceptual artist will be presenting a different version of one of her most recognizable pieces – Perception of the Stendhal Syndrome – Gene&Ethics Master Prism. Upcoming: Tom Sach – “Boombox Retrospective, 1999–2016” @ Brooklyn Museum

Tomorrow night (April 21st) in New York, Tom Sachs will be sharing his collection of bricolage sculptural pieces inspired by the iconic boomboxes of the 70s and 80s (also see SXSW ’15). Boombox Retrospective, 1999–2016 at the Brooklyn Museum features eighteen works that illustrate the sculptor’s ability to recreate everyday objects with re-purposed materials. Activating the space, the pieces will be programmed with playlists that go on sequentially throughout our public hours. Discuss Tom Sachs here.
