Releases: KAWS – “Man’s Best Friend” Print Set

Pace Prints just announced their newest print release with KAWS. Man’s Best Friend is a monumental set of 10 black and white screenprints, similar to the installation shown at his 2014 show at Honor Fraser Gallery (covered). Based on Charles M. Schulz’s Peanuts, the prints are KAWS’ take on the popular cartoon. At the end of last month, the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery in Washington, D.C. unveiled a portrait of actor Kevin Spacey painted by Jonathan Yeo that will be on view through October. Damien Hirst – “Pharmacy 2” Restaurant

After collaborating with restaurants in the past by incorporating his artwork into the decor, Damien Hirst has taken things to a whole new level. A new eatery was open last month by the British artist (in partnership with Mark Hix) at the Newport Street Gallery in Vauxhall, London. During the day, the restaurant serves visitors of the ongoing exhibitions while at night, it feeds diners when the gallery is closed. Previews: Will Cotton @ Orlando Museum of Art

This Saturday, March 12th, the Orlando Museum of Art will be opening a show featuring the sugary work of Will Cotton. The exhibition from the American painter known for his subjects adorned with desserts will feature oil paintings, preparatory drawings and sculptures revealing different stages of his creative process. Openings: Kai & Sunny – “Whirlwind Of Time” @ StolenSpace

Last weekend, StolenSpace hosted the opening of Kai & Sunny’s (interviewed) latest solo show – Whirlwind Of Time. Their fourth showing with the gallery in London featured a series of vibrant and complex drawings of nature using their signature ballpoint pens and linear patterns.
